The South Pacific coast of Costa Rica is one for surf lovers. But even if you don't like surfing there is plenty to do. Tropical nature parks, paradise beaches and mysterious cloud forests are all here. This region starts just south of Quepos just past Manuel Antonio National Park. In the region you can relax on the beaches, snorkel in the bay and spot colorful birds and noisy monkeys.
Whale watching and surfing
A well-known attraction in the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica is Dominical. You will find high waves here. This is therefore a paradise for surfers. Another highlight of this area is whale watching. For this you travel to the Marino Ballena National Park in Uvita.
Admire the unspoiled nature
From Uvita, most tourists travel on to the southwest corner of Costa Rica. To Peninsula de Osa. Here you can enter the Amazon of Costa Rica. Corcovado National Park is a stunning area from pristine palm swamps to low rainforests and from cloud forests to miles of beaches. You will find no less than thirteen different ecosystems here.
Diving and snorkeling on the South Pacific Coast
Lovers of diving and snorkeling can indulge themselves in the north of the park. Here you will find the paradisiacal Bahia Bay, a lush and secluded bay in the middle of the rainforest.
