Playa Bejuco (pronounced Bay-HOO-ko) is a long, sandy beach with a series of smaller beaches that are separated by rocky outcroppings. As you walk along the sand, you'll come to find that one rocky bluff after another juts out into the sea, blocking your view of what lies ahead. As you discover new locations and hidden coves, you'll feel like you're on a treasure hunt. Along with all the fun in the water, there are plenty of locals around selling all sorts of things from beer to handmade jewelry. You’ll also find locals selling hammocks and hats sitting in shade huts alongside the beach.

The Santamaria Museum: What to Expect

Dr. Luis A. Salas Corrales of Alajuela initiated the project that resulted in this statute. The Museum is named after the national hero Juan Santamara, whose heroic action took place on April 11th, 1856 in Rivas, Nicaragua. The museum contributes to the democratization of cultural services as a depositary of the nation's historical legacy.
