Antigua Hacienda Restaurant, located parallel of the new 27 Highway toward Caldera in Orotina, born thanks to the dream of seven women who decided to form an association of small businesses in 2009 to support their families through a rural community culinary project, while at the same time, supports the economy, revitalizing their heritage and promoting the local gastronomy of their canton, Orotina.
Antigua Hacienda Restaurant is located within the district of Coyolar in Orotina, same name given to the Great Hacienda El Coyolar of the visionary farmer Don Fernando Castro Cervantes. This hacienda was the largest privately that the country has had since it covered large tracts of land in Puntarenas, Alajuela, Guanacaste and San Jose, which made possible the development of Orotina at that time, since it generated numerous sources of employment.
