La Estancia Restaurant, located in San Antonio de Belén, Heredia, opened its doors in April, 2008, thanks to the dream of Don Miguel Barahona and his wife Isabel Sánchez, of owning a restaurant to share the authentic Peruvian flavor.

La Estancia Restaurant specializes in traditional cuisine of Peru and seeks to highlight the typical regional cuisine with its creative combinations of ingredients and flavors, resulting in a exquisite and varied meal that concentrates that characteristic Peruvian homemade flavor. Within the menu you will find the different varieties of its delicious Chaufa rice, a fried rice, either with chicken, meat or seafood, as well as traditional ceviche, huancaina potatato (Andean Potatoes), lomo saltado and aji de gallina, among others, without neglecting its spectacular desserts, including the delicious Suspiro Limeño. Starting this August 15th, they will include in the menu an authentic Peruvian Grilled with anticuhos (kebabs), papa a la huancaína (Andean Potatoes), sausage, chicken, pork ribs and beef, all marinated with Peruvian style.

In Peruvian food you can taste at least 5,000 years of pre-Inca, Inca, Colonial and Republican history. Moreover, as an exclusive peculiarity, there are foods and flavors of four continents in one country, as they are considered nearly three centuries of Spanish culinary contribution, as well as the gastronomic customs brought by slaves from the African Atlantic coast and strong influence of French chefs who fled the revolution in their country to settle in large number in the capital of the Viceroyalty of Peru. Equally important is the influence from the Chinese-Cantonese, Japanese, Italians and other Europeans who immigrated to Peru from the XIX century.

La Estancia restaurant is the authentic homemade Peruvian cuisine, made with love!
