The restaurant’s name is due to the Maremma, an area of Italy that spans the southern part of Tuscany, located across the Tyrrhenian Sea, which extends from the height of the northern province of Grosseto to the southern border with the region of Lazio. The Maremma, was originally inhabited by the Etruscan civilization and successively by the Romans, who were behind the development of agriculture and livestock in a considerable part of the land area, which is why Maremma is one of the few Tuscany jewels with an extensive culinary tradition, in which coastal specialties compete with inland exquisites, always prepared with genuine olive oil and accompanied by its famous wines.
