José Joaquín Vargas Calvo Theater is a small theater in the capital. It is under the direction of Jody Steiger, National Theater director, the entity responsible for producing the same.
For 2009, the theater increased significantly its production stage and performed three major productions, rather than the two it did in previous years. In addition, it will open its doors to more experimental projects from Monday to Wednesday. Similarly, plans to change their seats once again, to increase their capacity, so that it will take 50 to 70 seats.
