Panama Beach is a beautiful and quiet beach of gray sand and blue waters of about 2 km long and surrounded by lush vegetation, typical of dry tropical forest full of trees of Panama, Brazil, Sarno, Mesquite, ferns and various kinds of shrubs, which allows great shadow to the delight of its visitors. In fact, Panama Beach is named after the trees of the same name that are found along its coastline.
Panama Beach is one of the most attractive beaches in the Guanacaste province, located in Culebra Bay in the Gulf of Papagayo, five minutes from Hermosa and Coco beaches. It’s one of the best places to swim in Costa Rica, because the beach has no stones, the currents are not strong and the tide often remains low.
Panama Beach is ideal for those looking for quality rest and relaxation enjoying a sun bath, long walks on the beach and a tranquil atmosphere, as it is also excellent to practice some water sports, for sailing or fishing, being snorkeling, diving, kayaking and rowing some of the most popular sports here. Also, do not forget to visit the Rocha statuary with its charming nearby mangrove swamp and a dry forest, which is within walking distance from the beach. Importantly, Panama Beach has the Blue Flag certificate (Bandera Azul in Spanish), so it has good health and safety conditions.
By its close proximity to Liberia and the Daniel Oduber International Airport, Panama beach is accessible all year through a new road, making it easier for foreigners to travel to other places. Many national parks are in the vicinity of Panama Beach, including the famous Rincon de la Vieja National Park, Palo Verde National Park and Santa Rosa National Park to name a few. Panama Beach has a variety of condominiums, resorts and accommodations for all budgets, as well as numerous restaurants, bars and shopping areas.
